Well, well, it’s about time I said something about this. My current project, which I’ve been keeping the details to myself mostly, and tried to be generally quiet otherwise (LIES! You whined about it at every chance!), has been one headache inducing road after another. It’s suffered a dozen of scale downs and rewrites already, and still hasn’t taken a single step further. Well, now I’m here to put your fears, anxieties, and concerns to rest… as well as any questions, like “What the hell is this all about? And are you canceling the project or no?”
I have decided to undertake the gauntlet one final time. I have a rather not-so-detailed plot map by my side to hopefully guide me through this treacherous labyrinth. I’ve decided to shorten it pretty severely, as well as cut out a small number of characters and their respective plot threads, and finally shifted to the ever familiar kinetic model. It’s barely a shell of what it once was planned to be, but I couldn’t be happier about it. Now this wretched thing actually has a chance at seeing completion.
To be honest, though, I’m not even working on it for me anymore. I really hate this thing. I can’t find a single endearing trait about it, but I don’t want all the work that was put into the art to go to waste. It has been the most trying experience on my patience, and the results show that I didn’t win out in the end. But maybe, just maybe, I can last through this final sudden death match…
